I had some trouble queuing a PvE a week or two ago, and ended up playing in a PUG without any fleetmates. It was a night-and-day difference. No wonder we've found each other. We're a haven from immaturity and poor manners.

My little bug's cannons stand charged and ready however I've got a Chinese New Year dinner to go to Saturday evening so wouldn't be able to make it. Is it possible to have it earlier in the afternoon on Saturday or maybe have a few different time slots for this event?

With any luck, this may be the sort of event we revisit toward the end of the Dominion lockbox cycle, and perhaps have more Dominion ships available.

I mean - it does occur that this is about as close to a third faction as we've had in the game thus far. Let's use it!

Great idea Ereiid! This would be an epic battle. Maybe make a quasi tournament out of it. Start with ten players each side. Then lowest contributors of the losing team gets eliminated. Teams get rebalanced after every two rounds.... We should talk and make this wonderful thing happen:)

Something about the combination of insomnia and large volume, rapid-fire improvisational deadline writing I've been doing led to a slightly brillz idea, as I was lying awake unable to sleep tonight.

Dominion Wars PvP!
On one team, we stack up as many Dreadnoughts, Attack Ships, Galors, and Heavy Escort Carriers as we can muster, and on the other - joint Federation and Klingon task forces.

Assuming Dominion and Cardassian ships are limiting, whatever imbalance we have in numbers or skill handicap can be evened out relatively easily with the freely available and widely owned Chel Gretts.

So who's in with me? Shall we set a time?

I suppose it's worthwhile getting a poll of what rare Dominion and Cardassian ships are around the fleet, for us to start building a roster, since it seems like that's going to be a limiting factor.

As an owner of a Dreadnought and a Heavy Escort Carrier, maybe we might consider forming a core Dominion group, to take on all comers en queue. Since there's an element of historicism here, I'd like representation on the Dominion side approximating the relatively even distribution of ships depicted in the last couple of seasons of DS9. I'm open to debate on this detail, depending on how much interest there is.

And yes, one can't help but feel this is perhaps the 25th century equivalent of being an American Civil War (or whatever conflict people bothering doing this with) reenactment - but I'm game if you are!
