Re: Mass Effect Future

I'd certainly give a Mass Effect MMO a try, but if it came down to them making another single-player game OR an MMO... I'd choose the single-player game.

I'd love to see the next Mass Effect have the main character not be in the military, mainly because I think it would be interesting to see that universe from a different perspective. I think it would be great if he/she were a smuggler or something less rigid.

I guess I'd be less skeptical if I'd been emotionally affected by an mmo, but I haven't so far. Could you replicate the attachment if you knew everyone had similar/same companions?

I'd still play it though. I'll play any mass affect thing they release. Consider me an ME whore!

Neverwinter: Stonewall Guardians formed!

May 04 2013
Stonewall Guardians has been formed!. The Dragon shard was chosen because most people seemed to be playing there.

However, Cryptic intends to merge the shards so members can continue playing on the shards they started on and will be invited once the merge is completed.

Also, we've created a cross-shard channel by the name of StonewallGuardians for guild communication in the same fashion that the StonewallFleet channel exists for Star Trek Online.

Installed it a couple days ago up to 6 or 7 now on the cleric. I like it but going to test out some of the other classes still. I like to play it up to 10 first before I make a full decision because the first few levels go by so fast.

There's certainly enough story for an mmo. And they have all the classes. I think I'd rather they just had another storyline from this universe though. The emotional attachment to the characters really got me into the games, and I don't think it would be as effective in an mmo.

Re: Mass Effect Love

I modified the default Male Shep, but only slightly. Slimmer face and more hair.

ME1: I ditched the bitch and saved Kaiden.

ME2: Actually, didn't go with anyone. I was all into Kaiden but it wasn't to be at that time!

ME3: Kaiden (pattern?!) but I was curious about the pilot.

Awesome games. I cried too many times in ME3. Mordin!!!!! He made me laugh and smile and then cry!!! Thane... perfect character. Vega... Just because I would love to have a mate like him!

Emotional roller coaster!

Can't wait for whatever is next!

Mass Effect Future

What direction would you like to see the ME franchise go in?

Me, I'd like to see a ME MMO. I think that would be so fucking epic. Of course you wouldn't play as any of the characters from the games but you would get all the races to choose from. It would be cool if some of the ME characters made an appearance as an NPC that would be incorporated into the story.

If there was an ME MMO, what classes/races would you choose or like to see?

I'd probably go for Geth, Salarian and Drell. Those would be my top picks.

Re: Mass Effect Love

I went with female Shepard. If I couldn't be gay, I was gonna be a lady haha. Plus, I found Jennifer Hale's voice acting much better than the male actor.

Saved and romanced Kaiden in ME1(Ashley is probably my least favorite character in the series). In ME2, I ended up falling in love with Thane... He had a sexy voice, and Kaiden was being a dick. In ME3, Thane's romance didn't turn out so great(to put it mildly), so I ended up rekindling things with Kaiden. I really liked how things with Kaiden went in 3, and regret my indiscretions with Thane now...

If I were to replay the series at some point in the future, I'd probably make a man(default -- I could not for the life of me make a decent looking custom male Shep), and be single/save Kaiden in ME1, stay single in 2, and get it on with him in 3.

That said, I would ditch Kaiden for Vega ANY day of the week. In ME3, I wanted him to be a love interest the whole way through :P

I'm still trying to find a character I enjoy playing... Going through the tutorial as each class, and none of them really click with me.

Also, am I the only one having trouble making a character I like the look of? The character creator seems quite robust at first, but all of my characters look like they are surprised and pissed off at the same time, hehe. I wish there was more control over eye shape and mouth shape.

Hey,

I really REALLY wanted to bed James Vega, He was so into Shep, It made me think that there was meant to be a romantic story there but they cut it out, but hey.. Yeah he would have been fun to bed ;)

If the Normandy is a Rocking don't come a Knocking ;)

No no no, I'm pretty sure you didn't like him. :-P I wanted to bed him just for that fact he was voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. Mmmm

I'm still planning on doing a renegade play through from ME1-3. I want to wear this outfit for my renegade playthrough in 3. Hot!

Same but I started from ME to ME3 with a female and through ME to ME3 kept with Kaiden. But when I found out when gay romance came out, I jumped off the female band wagon and made my male one and I had been humping kaiden ever since.

They should have set up the cathar like all the other races, its free to play them in certain looks/classes, and the rest is unlockable/buyable.

I find the guide through STO's Task Force Omega very helpful. Although I've started to play in STO in December 2012 I've focused on exploring the Galaxy, all missions and also on gaining the reputation within the New Romulus getting quickly to T4. I've started Task Force Omega only a couple of weeks ago and that article is an essence of the knowledge that will help to focus on my targets. Thanks!

Re: Game Update 2.1: Customization

They have other games (STO off the top of my head) giving them examples of what they can get away with doing to their player base. Heck, TSW charges you $10US to buy a new outfit for your pretend person and Marvel Universe (Open beta weekend starts today if anyone wanted to play) charges you $10 per costume.

When one game gets away with doing things like that, and they don't see it negatively affect their numbers, well they all think they can get away with it.

So before you say "I have no problem paying to" just remember that the thing for which you have no problem paying may only be the thin end of the wedge. When the companies see how many people have no problems paying for X, well they may as well just charge you for W, Y and Z while they're at it.

Is anyone else playing this? I'm about to start a character, but was hoping to roll on the same server as any other Stonewallers.

At some point, they plan on merging the 3 shard together.
