Full disclosure. My bank alt has a sizeable liquor hoard stockpiled.

If and when the Borg, Klingons, and Iconians overrun the Federation, you better believe I'm going to be prepared to keep the happy juice flowing.

Or did we learn nothing from the BSG reboot?

I don't think the problem is with mistakes. It's REALLY easy to spot a mistake, because the person will only Need on one random thing. It generally won't be a MK XII Purple thing either. If you accidentally 'Need' a bottle of Yamok sauce you're either a klutz or a Cardassian petaQ (in which case I will put a disruptor bolt through your skull on principle jk jk jk)

If you 'Need' everything with your fellow Fleeties you are officially 'that guy'. You know, that one person who eats all the red Starbursts in the pack. Or the one who cuts in line at a buffet. Don't be That Guy.

Edit: And yeah, it's true that the general game mentality is to Need everything. But the buffet analogy still stands. If I go to a Chinese Buffet you bet I'm gonna pile my plate with General Tso's without regard for anyone else. It's a restaurant, I'm paying for all the General they can supply me with. However, if my friend hosts a buffet at their house, I exercise a LOT of restraint- I want to make sure my friends get a chance at everything before I pig the hell out. Same basic setting, but the different group of people involved means WAY different rules.

I had a huge table top train set complete with City, Suburbs, Mountains and a real River when I was a kid. I am not sure what happened to it. Me and my dad had tons of fun with it. Such memories.

I will have to get back into some day.

Dang, they've even got the Dauntless. It's tempting but I've got most of these as micromachines on display in my room much to my boyfriend's dismay.

My Grandpa and I used to set up model trains in the dining room. It was so much fun and the train set had to have been from the early 60's.

When I was a kid, I had a BRIO set. I couldn't get enough of it! I would build something, set it up, and not touch it until all landmarks and junctions were named and mapped. Awww, memories! :)

Twitter vs. Female Protagonists in Video Games.

June 12 2013
http://femfreq.tumblr.com/post/52673540142/twitter-vs-female-protagonists-in-video-games

So it appears the head of a feminist group made a critical tweet after seeing Xbox One's debut at E3. She criticized Xbox One for not having any leading female protagonists in any of their 1st generation of games for the new console. It could be a coincidence or not, but it's only the first gen and not the last and I'm certain we'll be seeing a lot more games produced with female playable protagonists. While I don't normally have problems with feminist agendas I feel like her argument is just a little trumped up. I think most of the twitter backlash was juvenile and ignorant but a few of them brought up some cogent points albeit rather rudely. It is an unfortunate fact that the gaming industry's customer base is still primarily dominated by straight male gamers. In order to turn a profit these companies continue to market primarily to that demographic. Plus I can think of many titles off the top of my head that have had iconic (or at least playable) female protagonists like Metroid, Bioshock, Bloodrayne, Resident Evil, Bayonetta, Portal 1&2, KOTOR 1&2, Fable 2&3 the list goes on. What do you think?

I love model trains and always wanted to have a setup in my basement. When I was a kid, one of my uncles had a pretty awesome table setup, but I've never actually followed through with this hobby on my own.

Would be pretty awesome though! It's on my bucket list ;)

I honestly didn't know how any of this worked. I usually hit "pass". Thanks!

Need will get priority on loot. If more than one need, a loot roll will take place between the needing players. If none need, the same will happen or those who greed. If all pass, loot will remain on the field at which point if anyone picks it up again, they will automatically get it in their inventory by default instead of going through the process again:)

Hope that helps

Sometimes people will hit need by accident. Most of the time he/she will tell the rest of the team it was only an accident. :)

If someone on your team is constantly needing everything without a reason, to make things a little fair, sometimes the rest of the entire team will have to need.

I only hit need by mistake in Fleet groups. Most of the time, depending on what characters are in the group, for example Remans/Romulans I try to pass on everything in case it is something those toons can use. I will try and pay closer attention and try not to need by mistake.

I can't quite make out one - in the back row, between the Enterprise-D and the Reliant?

It looks like another Excelsior class. The pylons are horizontal coming off the body of the ship, so it can't be the TOS Enterprise. One may be the NX 2000 and another may be the NCC 2000

I know because the game at large just lives on a need everything mentality that some people slip up when in fleet groups. But i try to politely remind them when this happens.

When I was admiral of PvE I always instituted this in my runs, a very simple rule;

Greed for Fleet
Need for PUGs!
