As our Halloween event draws near, we'll be providing additional details of each event in our Halloween event day line-up! Today's update deals with the Halloween costume contest!

The costume contest will be held on-board the R.R.W. K'ETERIX, the Scimitar class vessel of our Fleet Captain Andrew, who's catering staff has graciously agreed to host our event in the crew lounge. Bridge invites will be sent to all participants at the time of the event!

Best Star Trek Character Likeness category: Costumes will be judged for the best likeness of a canon Star Trek character from the television series or movies. It doesn't need to be a bridge officer or main cast member, so let your creativity flow!

Best Cartoon Character Likeness category: Costumes will be judged for the best likeness of a pop-culture cartoon character of your choosing! Many such examples can be seen wandering the halls of Earth Space Dock and other public zones on occasion, including that of the legendary Doctor Zoidberg (pictured). Show us what you can do!

Scariest Costume category: Costumes will be judged on the how much terror your costume could strike into the heart of a red-shirt on an away mission! The most horribly terrifying costume will win this category!

Best Traditional Costume category: Have a costume idea that is more traditional and doesn't fit the other molds? No problem! This is your chance to win!

Best In Show!!: This GRAND PRIZE will be awarded to the best costume in the show, in terms of execution and overall effort! All costume entries will be considered for this ultimate award category!

The winning costume of each award sub-category will win 1,000 ZEN! If you win in one award category, you're not eligible to win in another award category, with the exception of the Best in Show GRAND PRIZE, which is open to all participants, regardless of whether or not their entry won in a previous category. The Best in Show prize is 2,500 Zen!

You may create costumes to enter as many of the costume categories as you wish, however, your costume may only win one of the four sub-categories (best Trek likeness, best cartoon likeness, scariest costume or best traditional costume). As previously stated, all entries are eligible for the Best in Show grand prize!

The judging panel will be announced at the time of the event!

Over the past month we've held random dance parties throughout the quadrant! At each party, we recognized and awarded those who illustrated being best party goers, sharing us their hilarious pick-up lines, showing off their groovy dance moves and attire, and overall being a fun social butterfly! The winner was chosen randomly from a list of all winners of this past month's dance events! Big congratulations to...




Yesterday night, fleeties gathered at Drozana Station to participate in our Fall Frock Costume Contest! Each contestant walked down the ramp and on to the table for a closer look to show off their wonderful costumes, critiqued and judged by @Mrizzy, @Nicholasjohn16, @Williamjaneway, and @Eurrsk! Wonderful array of costumes, guys! The way you all displayed yourselves in your own unique way really caught the judges eyes! Big hugs for our Fall Frock Costume Contest! B)

An awesome time, great job everyone. :woohoo:

A truly great event! I was around for a good part of it but not all of it sadly. I did enjoy the Best Fall Frock contest as the contestants made the walk on the cat walk. I particularly enjoyed Bren's fabulous entrance and the show he put on. On an aside, Bren, can I get the recipe for that outfit please? :)

It was a great fun filled day! Many thanks to the Morale Department - Auntie Izzy, Doc, Eurrsk, and Dex. Well Done!

The Morale Department have really been putting on some great, fun events lately. Last night was awesome and I really enjoyed myself. (Sorry I killed you so many times Dex.) Thank you for all the time and effort you guys put into it. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks very much Eurrsk, WilliamJaneway, Doc, Izzy and the morale department as a whole for spear-heading the festivities for the day! I know that everyone really appreciated your efforts and your perseverance as the full-day of events unfolded!
