Although I see your point, I do look at it the opposite way round. Players expect Cryptic (PWE or whatever) to make a game, host the server and continue to update it without paying because that's how it's sold to the player base at large.

You can't advertise your game as being entirely free-to-play and then say somebody has a terrible attitude for choosing not to pay.

A lot of people like STO, will play STO, and enjoy their time with STO but won't support PWE because of what it seems are money-driven design choices forced on Cryptic and the player base. You can't support STO and/or Cryptic without supporting PWE and thus you have no choice but to keep your wallet firmly closed.

Everyone should be able to make that choice because that's how the game is advertised.

I just watched Brandon live stream some Season 8 content and I've got to say I'm kinda looking forward to the 20 man ground map. Capture and hold PvE looks like it could be a lot of fun.

The revamped reputation system seems much easier too.

By not paying you arent supporting PWE but your also not supporting STO and not supporting cryptic in making it better. Personally i think its a really terrible attitude to take with a game that we play a damm lot of and enjoy greatly.

I've always just done the Trill edits via Photoshop, myself. I'm not aware of any programs that can do this - the closest I can think of is this:

But these are pre-made avatars, I don't know if they have functionality that alters the photo for you.

We are currently accepting applications for a Public Relations Officer. This will be a Network-wide Officer position and will assist with all guilds within the Network.

The responsibilities of this position are:

• Recruit for the Stonewall Gaming Network and it's guilds
• Promote Stonewall Gaming Network events
• Manage our social media presence
• General Officer duties

As well, this position will carry a rank of Officer within any guild they participate in. In Stonewall Fleet, this position will have a rank of Admiral, but will not have an associated department or Fleet Captains.

Interesting question - I'm not exactly certain what the best way would be to accomplish that on my end, although I'm very happy to consider any changes which would make it easier for Fleet Captains or Captains in a Fleet to register/import their ship (and maybe even character) into the Database or Game.

I will have to do some brainstorming on that one and figure out how I could make that happen.

From the STO perspective I see us pretty much using STO as the RP vessel of choice as with it we can set titles as needed, along with uniforms and create adventures using the foundry. I really do look forward to seeing the 'browser game' part of it though. :woohoo:

Would be nice though for a fleet to be able to 'import' or register a ship 'simm' against the captains fleet though. Is this something which happens automatically if the fleet captain gives a position to a member?

just downloaded.. DDO was my first online game.... It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to start by sincerely thanking everyone for taking a look at the site, providing some amazing feedback so far, and also for being extremely patient through a particularly stubborn "failed login" bug that a couple of you keep hitting in different forms despite a number of changes.

We've been taking notes based on how you guys are using the site and what exactly you're looking for in terms of functionality, keeping in mind that STO players and traditional RPG simmers will be using the Database portion of the site differently, so we are planning to make some changes to the site in the coming weeks which will hopefully make it more useful and easier to navigate.

I also wanted to clarify a point which seems to be causing some confusion. The site is split into two parts - a database for existing characters, fleets, and simulations, and a separate real-time , browser-based game.

The Simm Database is currently live and accepting new entries, but the Future Fleets Game is in the final weeks of development and will be probably be accepting the first batch of Early Beta Testers at the end of November. Anyone who registers before then will get the chance to participate in the Early Beta of the site, and they will also be able to claim each week's pre-launch in-game promo items.

I hope that helps clear some things up, but please don't hesitate to let me know if you guys encounter any other bugs or have any questions or general feedback.

Jumping on the back of this, I've just resubscribed to SWTOR after a long hiatus (and having one of my strops about Warcraft). How active a guild presence does Stonewall have? I'm pretty sure the old EU guild I was in has shrivelled up and died, I'd like to see some of the group content, even on a US server, rather than trundle about on my own.

has anybody worked out why we're able to get 6 of yhe advanced swarmers yet? it seems very strange that they would allow this without a reason. they are character bound and only useable in the obelisk carrier...
