Excellent advise, Guys. Since I have 4 VA characters hopefully it will not take too long to amass the Zen to get that ship. It looks quite snazzy too!

And yes, They are two different styles which I enjoy, and I think trying to fly the obelisk as a cruiser has been one of my biggest mistakes :P

My two character I had in the guilds are still in it, which somehow seems to be the only thing that wasn't changed.

Decided to play 'for an hour' this morning, that was at 11 am. It's 10 pm now and I only stopped for a few minutes because I had to take out the trash :blush:

The mirror ships are generally a nice starter ship for level 50 with fleet and cstore ships generally being the nice shinies that give the best performance.

With regards to what to fly you just need to ask yourself a few questions such as what do you want the ship to be good at and are you willing to put some money into this for a cstore ship etc.

With those two answers we could come up with some nice ideas for what to fly. I only say this because you mentioned cruisers and carriers there both of which are awesome but very different play style :)

By the way, if a fleet ship has C-store version, getting the C-store ship makes a discount on its fleet version to 1 module only.

So this Regent / Fleet Assault Cruiser pack would be for 3000 Zen in total, giving you additional costume, wide arc quantum torpedo and that weird gas cloud console. Of course it's pointless to get the more expensive version if you don't really want that stuff.

PS. I love the Mirror Assault Cruiser, I spent so much time in that ship

If you purchase the Assault Cruiser refit, you would only need one fleet module instead of the 4.

The Fleet ship are better with hull points, shield modifier, and consoles and maybe BOFF Stations, but I would look at all possibilities, You can compare the difference of the ships on STO Wikipedia. But here is the Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit

Personally I would go with what you feel is comfortable for you as a player. If you are have great success with the Mirror Uni Assault Cruiser and the Obisek Carrier, then sounds like you are set and ready for it.

One of the best ways to see how your ships handles in combat is to try out one on one PVP space combat, as AI ships on Elite are sometimes predictable.

I have a couple questions I hope someone can help me answer:

I typically Circle my prey like a shark with my 7 phaser banks drilling into them as their attacks bounce off my hull - even on elite missions. It SEEMS pretty snazzy, but can it be BETTER? I guess I am a sort of hybrid of DPS and tank with a couple hull and shield heals (Including extend)

Does anyone have any good tips for this specific playstyle?

I would highly recommend making sure that you use a security token / One Time Password if you play, Especially if you have an Android or iPhone.

A friend of mine who is an introvert, as well, hangs out with me on skype quite often. I do more talking than him, but most of the time is spent in silence if neither of us has anything to say. It doesn't bother either of us, we like the company we offer each other.

Just thought to make those aware that the Public Test Server is now up and running for the upcoming release of Galactic Starfighter.

So if you wish to see what the current look of it is, or you wish to see a live streaming of what is happening, here is what you do.

Public Test Server:

1. First you need to download the PTS, and how is this done. Well first thing, click on cog icon after logging in the launcher screen and you will see the option to "Enable Public Test Server Access" click on it and change that from No to Yes.

2. After doing step 1, a new icon will appear next to your cog icon. Click on that and you will have two choice. Pick the one that says Public Test.
Now your on your way to download the Public Test Server files. This will take some time to download, so recommendation is do this over night.

3. Now you need can transfer a character from the SWTOR Server or create a new character, transferring is easy and takes one hour to be recognised but can sometime be straight away. The way to transfer is you log in on the Star Wars The Old Republic website and place your cursor over the Community and wait for the options for that to drop with the option to click on Public Test Centre.

3a. Now you are in the Public Test Centre page. hear you can transfer toons from SWTOR server to Public test Server. There some conditions in which this transfer can affect things. be sure to read all hyperlinks to ensure that you are ok with what you are about to do. Now, two boxes are on this page, click on the first box that has the server that you have your toons on. This box is from toons that you are wanting to transfer, this transfer only transfers one toon only of either faction. Now a second box will appear with the toons of that server below that. Click on the toon you are wanting to transfer and click Copy Charcter under the second box.

3b. You will have 2 different things that will happen. One is there is an error for some reason, so I would redo the character you are wanting to transfer and see if it happens again, if it doesn't which is what happened to me, it will do go through after confirming it. or it will go through without a problem.

And now you have transferred your toon to PTS.
