Re: Tis the season to be jolly...

I haven't had a christmas tree since I was little, before I was even aware there wasn't a Santa, because my dad got too lazy to bring the tree down from the attic.

My father's laziness would be legendary, well... if he weren't so lazy.

Once I moved out of their house, I bought a tiny little house and had a tiny little tree, but my ex took it when we split and I never bought a replacement.

My theme this year is "Balls!". Maybe I'll just take a pic of them set out on a table. Bruce surprised me with the Kelvin when it first came out. They gave away a "battle damaged" Kelvin at Comic-Con. I have most of the ships. I did get a few character ones. They also did a small metal lunchbox with Kirk and Spock on it one year. :-D

Oh noes! You should still post it! I only went with the ships and didn't buy any of the figurines or ground environments that Hallmark has released... I noticed that they had a USS Kelvin ornament from the ST: 2009 movie out now too! Would love to see some other trees! :D

Impressive Voleron. I can not hope to attain the level of Trek in your tree. B)

Roleplay event scheduling

December 02 2013
The Sunday evening roleplay events seem to be causing some scheduling problems for people, so I would like to consider other alternatives. The current time is 6pm EST every Sunday night. We can move it to a weekday night, although it would have to be at the same time or later because of my work schedule. We could also try Saturdays: the same time or earlier would be better for me then. If you would like to participate but the schedule is giving you trouble, add a reply and I'll try to come up with a new weekly time that works for more people. Please send a note even if you've never joined in before -- we would love to have you!

This year there will be no decorations for the Holiday season due to travel. I am heading to Colorado for the latter part of December while my other 1/2 is spending the latter half of December and the first 1/2 - 3/4 of January with his family in Beirut, Lebanon. I am looking forward to seeing everyone else's decor though.

If you go into the fleet list in STO, the same is true, I think there are just too many fleets/guilds in the 2 games for everything to show up correctly.

A guild has to have someone online with the invite privilege in order to show up in that list too.

Here is a detailed article from Dulfy about ship types, components, and possible loadouts. This could be a game all on its own and apparently isn't really linked to the "ground" game which we are currently playing. This is definitely more "detailed" than was known when the expansion was first announced and sounds rather "similar" to ship abilities as is found in STO.

Base Shape: Metal Shield-Light. I thought a shield shape would fit the Romulans. I chose a light shape to stand out against uniforms, which are usually dark.

Background: Alternate Future-2. We use this element in the patches for both Stonewall Fleet and House of nagh reD, so I thought it was essential to use this for cohesion. That one can construe the shape as a "stone wall" helps.

Foreground: Bird 2. Again, I wanted to use a Romulan symbol. However, I didn't use the Romulan-faction symbol because it's not a clean enough design for something as small as a patch used in-game. The bird I use "feels" Romulan but is much cleaner.

I've looked for Stonewall Guild in game, but it seems it doesn't exist. Could you please give me the precise name of our guild in NW? Thanks!

I was on my alt, Torellion Melandril, the other day, and noticed he wasn't in the guild--I may not have had him added but I don't remember for sure. When I looked for the guild, indeed, it did not show up in the search.

Nick leads us all every year in the pride parade. It was amazing this year. (my first one)

Glad your event turned out well. I popped in for a bit to see if it had started yet but had to go prep the feast. Sorry I couldn't make it. Sounds like all had a great time though.

Very cool. I hadn't really been able to make Pride events before (maybe just a single event in three years?) because of a schedule conflict with the chorus I was in, but this will not be the case next year. Thus, I didn't know we did a Pride parade.
