Big snuggly thanks to all who've contributed to this edition :)

Link to the issue on the site is here

For those who prefer the "2-page" spread style, click here

And please note that "FC" @bullocaj meant Fit Cutie and not "fleet captain" as Andrew is of course an Admiral 8) :cheer:

As always your feedback is invited and contributions are now OPEN for the XXX edition ;)

Cheers!

Welcome to the Stonewall Family, once again. I am certainly glad you have been enjoying your stay with us. Like you I was a solo player for a very long time, only because being gay in straight fleets was a huge turn off because of the numerous comments from the other members (not knowing I was gay). I eventually quit playing STO because it was no fun for me solo. I didn't like PUG's, still don't. I came back to the game thinking I would try to find a small LGBTQS fleet and if I could not find one would move out of playing MMO's all-together. It just so happened that I found this fleet. This HUGE Fleet of like minded LGBTQS players and have made it my home. The people in this fleet have made all the difference to my MMO playing. I can't imagine not playing with this group.

I look forward to gaming with you as you settle into the family :)

PS: Brandon is amazing!

Brandon is quite amazing, 'tis true!

From a personal stance, and not so out of touch with Voleron's post (which I just now read, my bad! :p) I've noticed that in my MMO playing I am less interested in the game itself if there isn't the social aspect of a fleet or a guild to accompany it. When I joined Stonewall I fell in love with the aspect of multi-player gaming where as before I'd usually always preferred solo.

We have a great community here with awesome individuals. I, for one, can't imagine being apart of another fleet.

I'm glad that you've been enjoying your time here thus far! Know that we're glad to have you aboard :)

I think the one main real reason for not joining a fleet was at the beginning your trying to find your feet, seeing what this and that does, what window to open to do this, and when your trying to learn, being bombarded with constant fleet invites, you know it becomes a headache, I daren't repeat half the stuff I was saying at my screen whenever a fleet invite popped up, but I think you can guess lol.

I joined this fleet not because of my sexuality, but really out of the respect I have for Brandon. I owe the guy alot.

We're very happy to have you with us and are thrilled that you're enjoying Stomewall and the fleet system! Like you, I'm more of a solo player in MMOs and had my solo stint in STO before joining Stonewall, but the company of great people and fun events has kept me here :)

Glad to have you here!

Had not realised being in a fleet was so much fun

March 02 2014
I started playing STO just short of 3 years now. When I first started playing I was always being bombarded with fleet invites. I looked into a few of them. The ones I did the demands on their fleet member made me just think "whoah come on, I thought this was meant to be fun to play", so after that I blocked all fleet invites and became basically a freelancer lol.

Last year though, through a common subject something made me reach out to Brandon. Brandon and I then began communicating more and more, and vice versa. Throughout all this time though I had never told him my sexuality. It has only roughly been a month or so since Brandon got to know more and more about me. But even before knowing all the stuff he knows now, he had always said come join the fleet, but the fleet of the past had always been stuck in my mind.

Well, on 02/28 there I was and Brandon and fleet mates were one short for an STF run, and Brandon asked if I could make up the numbers, to which I readily agreed, but it turned out because I wasn't in the fleet I could not join the STF. Brandon said I could join the fleet then leave again, which I thought ok sure.

I didn't leave the fleet straight away, because curiosity got the better of me. In the Dev Blogs I had read Fleet this fleet that, so I decided to take a bit of a tour see what was what.

Well as you can see, I am still here. I have been so impressed thus far. The replies to my start here thread have been so welcoming, beyond belief.

Being in the fleet has opened up a whole new STO gaming experience to me. For that I want to say to Brandon, a very big thank you. But more importantly, to everyone here. An even bigger thank you for making me so welcome and opening up STO even more to me.

:)

Build for KDF engineer

March 02 2014
Hi there!

Today I´ve started a new KDF toon and I´m searching now a build/skill for it (I´ve found two builds on stoacademy but I´m not convinced if they are good...).

It´s my first KDF engineer which means I don´t have any clue (lol).

The race is Alien and the ship that I want to use in the future (for PvE) is the Marauder patrol cruiser.

Do you have any suggestions?

Greetings, A.M.
