Just an FYI because of the new graphics settings you may have to launch in safe mode to get in. Not often but it may happen so if you can't get in try that! :)

Can I just remind people that with the forthcoming season 9. Can we not release any spoilers without prior knowledge and consent of people in the room or channel. Not everyone wants to know in advance of what is being released. If you wish to discuss any of the new content there is a specific channel and equally it may be more prudent to /tell an individual rather than announcing it verbally or in fleet chat.

Although I am sure many people don't mind some light spoilers lets try not to ruin the suspense and surprise some of us wish to keep for the official launch.

Your anticipated help in this matter is appreciated.

I wonder if WBC will protest his funeral...

When you feel bad for being so happy. There are thousands of others that feel the way you do.

I've been studying this, I don't think he will have a funeral, one he was excommunicated(he has no church), and two WBC dosen't believe in funerals. I find it interesting that they are willing to take advantage of someone else's grief but not willing to get take the same, cowards

Understandably many want to protest his funeral among doing other things. I would be lieing if I said that my soul didn't let a small sigh of relief as I read of his passing. But for all of the pain that he and his following have caused, is saying "good riddance" the best thing that the rest of us can do? In combating his vile hate, for me the best thing that I can do is hope that he now rests in peace and hope that those that follow him begin to cease the hateful things that they've been doing. Instead of being glad that my "enemy" is dead, I will choose to try to have compassion and understanding for those that may hate me so much. Doing that is how we win against the hatred of those like Fred Phelps.

I wonder if Guild Flagships will be able to participate in combat against other guild flagships, although if they did we'd probably pilot starfighters while the flagship was AI controlled...or maybe we'll main stations and stuff

Early on, I'd have been happy just using my ship as player housing...

And having the Agent ship on all of my toons. :p

I take back a bit of what I said in the original post about SPvP.

I got soooooo mind-numbingly bored of playing my warrior that I decided to try it out just for giggles and so far it's actually quite respectable. Changes made:

1. Earth runes instead of Traveler, but still Water & Monk for boon duration despite being nerfed/weaker
2. 10 trait points in air moved to earth and picking trait 5, Elemental Shielding (protection on aura activation)
3. Non-Battle sigil is Sigil of Accuracy for the 5% crit, to compensate for losing precision from air traitline & gear
4. Amulet is Settler but jewel is Barbarian - could probably fudge with another jewel but Barbarian gets you to 15k health which is a huge help in surviving burst DPSers, and the power+precision secondaries fill gaps in the stat loadout (the mere 75 precision is about 4% crit, and the build needs a certain level of crit for Renewing Stamina to proc perma-vigor)

The significantly shorter boon duration isn't as problematic as I was expecting. So far my biggest challenges are with decap engis, who're only problematic because they have so much blasted CC and Armor of Earth's stability is on such a long cooldown. The extra toughness from moving air points to earth helps keep roughly the same level of overall survivability though, plus the added protection duration from Earth runes.

In brief: definitely not "impossible" in SPvP, but viable with some tweaking :cheer:

The next expansion on the way is going to be called Galactic Strongholds and it includes more than just player housing. There will be a new form of storage available which will be called Legacy Stronghold Storage and will be accessible across your entire legacy. Yay, saves the cost of mailing stuff to your alts! This expansion will also give us the ability to launch a guild flagship but there isn't much information on that as of yet. The website states more will be revealed about guild flagships in the months ahead. Hopefully, it won't cost as much as the guild banks did but I won't hold my breath on that one. :pinch: The SWTOR website has the posted this webpage complete with FAQs about the expansion. It also includes additional subscriber benefits that accrue while waiting for the official launch in August.

Ooooh, I just got an email today that had a lot of details about the new patch, which is coming in August and called Galactic Strongholds. Massively has some information on it, too.

Included in the update:
- Live on multiple planets
- Legacy storage
- Guild strongholds
- Customizable interiors/decorations, some of which require parts from crafters

This finally means I can ask that cute smuggler, "My place or yours?"
