The Official STAR TREK Convention Las Vegas Celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Star Trek

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA Thursday - Sunday August 11 - 14, 2011 The Rio Suites Hotel 3700 W. Flamingo Rd.

HOTEL ROOM RESERVATIONS The fabulous Rio Suites Hotel is NOW accepting bookings for rooms for those coming to the convention. In years past we always sold out the Las Vegas Hilton so it is a good idea to book as early as possible, especially considering these excellent special room rates: $69 all nights but Friday and Saturday which are $109. EVERYONE gets a suite: it is a sweet deal in a great new hotel and wait until you see the convention facilities, they are gorgeous with a built in theatrical stage for our main theater! To reserve your rooms call 702-777-7777 and mention the code SRTREK1

How many people could realistically share one of these suites? I'm not opposed to sleeping bags.

Pat and I are coming and will be staying at Harrah's again :) as far as room sharing, you can get two doubles and put two in each. Just don't tell em there are more than 2 ppl staying. Hey, you just meet them at the club and brought them home >

Me and my friend are planning to make it down this time. this will be our first time to a star trek con. how far in advance do you book these things?

Star Trek 45th Anniversary Celebration Guests

So far:

WILLIAM SHATNER, DOMINIC KEATING & CONNOR TRINNEER from Enterprise, GWYNYTH WALSH & BARBARA MARCH my personal favorite Klingon Sisters, JG HERTZLER, ROBERT O'REILLY and from DS9 RENE AUBERJONOIS & NANA VISITOR

Since it is the 45th Anniversary, it should be an interesting convention.

Where is Sulu...Well he will be in Vegas! George Takei will be there also

I'll be there too, I'll probably stay at the Rio as well. I'll probably book in January. Can't wait!!!

@Josh: I think the rio has only two types of rooms for the most part. The mini suites (which makes up most of the hotel) and the larger suites which have the panoramic windows, the dining and kitchen area, and are about 14 sq ft. I'm not sure how many bedrooms or bed's they would have but I'm amenable if someone want's to go in with me on one of those.

I would be down for that. I'm still working out my budget (and my probation) but I'm pretty sure I'll be allowed to go.
